What's New on the 2010-2014 Version of the TPRI?

A new version of the TPRI will be released in the summer of 2010. The new TPRI features the following:

• Updated Screenings and New Inventory Items - the screening section has been revalidated with new items; the Inventory section also features new items throughout.
• New Word Decoding Task - designed to provide deeper diagnostic information about the word-reading skills of students
• Improved Comprehension Section - includes new stories and questions; re-designed to provide practical information about the comprehension skills of students
• Revised Spelling Task - new organization and analysis tools provide clear insight on the spelling skills of students
• Improved Focus on Instruction - re-designed to provide direct links to your reading instruction and to intervention suggestions for struggling readers; streamlined and simplified grouping process aids you in quickly and strategically creating groups for small group instruction and intervention; includes new tools for planning instruction
• Updated Intervention Activities Guide - Includes many new and revised activities; re-designed and re-organized for teachers to make an easy transition from gathering assessment data to planning small group instruction; many, many more blackline masters with complete word lists available for download.
