The TPRI is a one-on-one instrument designed to be administered by the classroom teacher. At all grade levels, the TPRI consists of both a screening section and an inventory section.

Each TPRI classroom kit contains everything that teachers need in order to administer the Screening and the Inventory:
 

• Easy-to-follow teacher's guide
• Story booklet and task cards
• All required manipulatives, including a magnetic board and colorful foam magnetic letters
• Stopwatch (for fluency testing) in G1, G2, G3 and Fluency Kit
• CD-ROM guide for training test administrators  (K-2 Kit)
• Grade-specific student record sheets (24) and class summary forms
• Two additional record sheets for each of the other two grades which allows assessment above or below grade level
• Intervention Activities Guide
